A term originally derived from Latin for bell, clocks have always held a certain fascination for many people and still have widespread appeal at auction. No longer just the striking variety implied by the Latin ‘clocca’, our auctions often include Congreve examples, Achille Brocot, RAF Sector clocks, Jaeger-LeCoultre Atmos, carriage, longcase, railway, electric and skeleton examples.

Barometers are featured alongside clocks in Harper Field’s quarterly specialist auctions. Notable results include a Georgian example by Ramsden which sold for £2,800.
