Whether we like it or not, war and the plethora of items needed to conduct it are completely fascinating, hence the militaria section of Harper Field’s quarterly specialist sales is always interesting. These specialist auctions also include medals, so the collecting field is comprehensively covered on the same date.

So, what type of item would appear in the militaria section? A brief list would include uniforms, helmets, caps, logbooks, maps and diaries, hardware such as compasses, shell cases and scopes, cap badges and buttons and military related pictures and books.
